A Sussex Police spokesman said; “Please continue to take extra care out there this morning, look out for road obstructions and water and slow down whenever necessary.”

There is slow traffic traffic on the A272 near Buck Barn crossroads due to a fallen tree and flooding.

The road is just passable between the High Street junction and the crossroads in West Grinstead.
