Quad bike, chainsaws and alcohol stolen during burglaries in Ansty, Hassocks and Crawley

Sussex Police have released details of three burglary alerts in Crawley and Mid Sussex from the past week

The first, dated December 13, occured at Deaks Lane, Ansty, Haywards Heath.

Police said a barn was broken into at about 11pm on Monday, December 12. A police spokesperson said: “A Quad bike (Quadzilla), light blue with toe hitch, along with a Welsh Pit motor bike, was stolen from a barn that was locked. NPT Police Rural team have been made aware.”

The crime reference is 0633.

The second incident, dated December 15, happened at Willow Ridge, Turners Hill, Crawley.

Police said a theft from a garage occurred on December 8 between 3am and 3.10am. They said alcohol and two petrol chainsaws were stolen. The crime reference is 0612.

The third incident, dated December 20, was at Gatehouse Lane, Goddards Green in Hassocks, police said.

They said a shed was broken into overnight but nothing was stolen. Police added that the lighting system around the shed was ‘damaged beyond repair’ and said there is no line of enquiry.

The crime reference for this incident is 0273.
