Robber wielding a metal object stole cash from Eastbourne shop

A man robbed staff at a Co-op store with a metal object at about 9.30pm on February 23, leaving them ‘shaken’.

The robber demanded money from the till at the store in Framfield Road and a quantity of cash was handed over, said police.

The man was wearing a distinctive purple baseball cap with the word ‘Boston’ on the front, and had a blue scarf covering his face.

Sussex Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.

Anyone who recognises the man in the photo or has any other information about the robbery is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1318 of 23/02.
