Serious police incident closes M23 round Gatwick
The M23 has been closed around the Gatwick area this afternoon (Sunday July 14) following a police incident.
There are long delays London-bound between junction nine, Gatwick Airport and junction eight, M25 junction seven.
There is congestion to junction ten A2011 (Crawley).
Reports are that a serious incident happened at around 1.15pm this afternoon.
The carriageway is likely to remain closed until early evening.
Trapped traffic is being released.
