Shoreham armed robbery: Second man arrested after Tesco staff threatened

A second man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Shoreham last week.

Armed police were called to the Tesco Express in Upper Shoreham Road on Friday morning (May 15) to reports of staff being threatened and money taken.

Nobody was hurt in the incident, police said, and a 38-year-old local man was arrested shortly afterwards.

Pictures showed a large number of vehicles parked in nearby Garden Close.

On Saturday afternoon, armed officers arrested a second man at an address in Adur Avenue, police said. The 30-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and questioned by officers.

Both men have been released on bail until June 12.
