A man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman in St Leonards, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed.

Sean Fullick, 39, unemployed of Wishing Tree Road North, St Leonards, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday (July 13) where he pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and actual bodily harm, the CPS said.

He will be sentenced on September 9, the CPS added.

Fullick was arrested after police were called to attend a property in Wishing Tree Road North on Monday, June 7, at around 12.20am after reports of an assault.

A man and a woman were both found at the address with serious injuries, according to police, and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Fullick was then charged before appearing at Lewes Crown Court earlier this week.

A police spokesman said, at the time, that the incident was being treated as an isolated matter and said there was no threat to the wider public.
