St Leonards man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following an incident in Hastings, Sussex Police have confirmed.

Ian Bryan, 58, unemployed, of St Margaret’s Road, St Leonards, appeared before Brighton magistrates on Wednesday (April 29) charged with the attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man at an address in St Margaret’s Road on Wednesday, April 22.

He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on May 27, police said.

A 17-year-old boy who was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident has now been discharged following treatment, a police spokesman added.
