Thieves target rural properties across Sussex

Thieves snatched more than £16,500 worth of equipment during break-ins at rural premises across Sussex over the past week.

Police say that among items stolen were chainsaws, trailers, water tanks, a motor mower, a road roller, pressure washer and leaf blowers.

In one incident, a £1,000 quadbike was stolen from a farm in Pulborough.

The red 350cc Honda quadbike was taken from the property in Toat Lane on January 22.

Anyone with any knowledge about any of the thefts is asked to contact police by calling 101.
