Trio assaulted on Arundel's High Street

Witnesses are being sought by police after three people were assaulted in Arundel on Saturday, November 3.

The victims - two men and a woman - were attacked in the High Street as they walked towards the junction with Tarrant Street at about 11pm.

An estate car drove towards them before it stopped and a man and woman got out. The female victim was grabbed by the hair before both men were pushed to the ground.

One suffered a minor injury to his head and the other required surgery to his hand.

A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating the circumstances leading up to this assault and would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who saw an estate car in the area shortly before it happened.

“Anyone who can help police with their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting serial 0919 of 4 November. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
