Two people have been arrested after reports of ‘several people fighting’ in Hove.

At 11.20pm on Tuesday (February 18) officers were called to the Mixologist Wine Bar in Church Road, Sussex Police said.

A spokesman added: “Two people - a 29-year-old man and 26-year-old man - have received hospital treatment for injuries related to the incident.”

“Enquiries are at an early stage early stage. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police online (https://www.sussex.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/) or call 101, quoting serial 1534 of 18/02.

“Alternatively please contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (www.crimestoppers-uk.org) anonymously, telephone 0800 555 111.”

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted assault and a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of aiding and abetting assault, the spokesman added.

He said they currently remain in police custody.
