UPDATE: Driver cut free after Beddingham collision closes the A27

A driver had to be cut free from their vehicle after a serious crash on the A27 today (Wednesday, April 24).

The collision near the Beddingham Roundabout involved a car and a van.

The road was closed eastbound from late morning but has now re-opened.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free the trapped driver. They were taken to hospital with what are understood to be minor injuries.
