UPDATE: Police name dead man found in Littlehampton

POLICE have this morning (Thursday, July 26) released the identity of the man found dead in Littlehampton, on Tuesday, July 17.

He has been named as Jason Innes, of Horsham Road, Littlehampton.

The 42-year-old was discovered in a ditch near Rope Walk, at about 4pm, earlier this month.

A police spokesman said: “A postmortem has taken place and precise cause of death awaits further forensic tests, but the death is not regarded as suspicious.

“An inquest has been formally opened and adjourned to a date yet to be set and the Coroners’s Officer is continuing enquiries.”
