Woman charged with murdering baby in Camber

A woman has been charged with the murder of her seven month-old son in Camber 12 years ago.

Lesley Dunford, of Windermere Close, Exeter, Devon, has been charged with the murder of her child Harley at the family’s then address in Pelwood Road on August 27, 2003.

The 37-year-old woman is due to appear in custody at Bristol Central Magistrates Court today (Friday, October 16).

The prosecution, authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service, follows an investigation over the past 16 months by detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Police Major Crime Team.
