Worthing’s Alan Willson: Police reissue witness appeal as father remains in ‘serious condition’

Alan Willson suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a gang of teenagers in Longcroft Park while rushing to defend his son on Easter Sunday.

Sussex Police has confirmed Mr Willson remains in hospital in a ‘serious condition’.

Five teenagers were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent, but were released under strict bail conditions.

They include strict curfews, staying at a given address away from the local area and not associating with each other.

Sussex Police said investigations were ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman said: “Our investigation is ongoing, and we continue to carry out enquiries in relation to this. We also continue to urge anyone who saw what happened or who may have any other information to come forward.
