Cuckfield European Association: The AGM is on Saturday 13th February at 7.30 to be held at Reid House, Mill Hall, Whitemans Green. There will be a simple quiz and a ploughmans in the form of refreshment. Please park opposite.

Cuckfield Evening Flower Club’s: the next meeting will be on Friday 12th February in the Queens Hall at 7.30 for 7.45p.m. Our demonstrator this month will be Gaenor Circus with her demonstration entitled “Ancient and Modern”. Cuckfield Museum: reopens on Sat Feb 13th with a new exhibition ‘Best Foot Forward’ looking at footwear over the past 200 years – from pattens, found up a chimney, to a Polish Count’s boots! Opening hours Wed 10-12.30 and Fri and Sat 10-4. More information at www.cuckfieldmuseum.org’

Cuckfield Museum will host a talk to be given by Tony Wilson MBE MSc entitled “The State of the Art at the British Museum” on Thursday 25th February, in the Council Chamber, The Queen’s Hall at 8.00pm. Tony was the Project Director for the British Museum’s “World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre”, the £135 million pound development completed in 2014 and providing approximately 17,000m2 of new, state-of-the art facilities at the museum. Tony’s illustrated talk will cover the construction of the World Conservation & Exhibition Centre, and will explain how the new building has helped to transform the way in which the museum stores, conserves and displays its collection of over 6 million objects.
