Curves food drive for Caring Community

During this month Curves Bexhill will participate in the 11th Annual Curves Food Drive to benefit Bexhill Caring Community.

Collectively, over the past 5 years, nearly 50 million pounds of food have been distributed to local communities all over the world through the campaign.

Curves Bexhill is also giving back to the community by waiving its normal service fee for any new joiner who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries and joins between March 9th and March 28.

There will be a special Curves Open Day on Monday March 16.

This promotion will help the women of Bexhill improve their health, manage their weight and their wallets by joining Curves for free, while also helping feed hungry people in the community.

"The Curves Food Drive is exciting" said Margaret von Speyr, Manager of Bexhill Caring Community.

"The past year has seen the cost of living just go up and up and up just as people's savings, and often the interest from them that they rely upon, have gone down and down and down. We have evermore people, young and old alike, relying upon us for some extra groceries to help then through these difficult times. Many Bexhillians don't appreciate that we have one of the most impoverished wards in the whole of the country right here '“ and as the saying goes, charity begins at home."

"Especially during these uncertain times, these groceries are needed more than ever. It's a win-win for everyone and we're very proud to participate" said the owner of Curves Bexhill.
