Cyclist seriously injured near Heathfield

A cyclist was seriously injured when he came off his bike near Heathfield.

Sussex Police said the cyclist came off his bike in New Pond Hill, Cross in Hand, on Wednesday (August 26).

A spokesman for the force told the Express: “A cyclist suffered serious leg injuries when he came off his bike in New Pond Hill, Cross in Hand, at 1.27pm on Wednesday, August 26.

“No other vehicle was involved.

“The road was closed for a just over an hour while the incident was dealt with.”

South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) has been approached for a comment.
