Cyclist who fell from bike on St Leonards seafront dies in hospital

The man who fell from his pedal cycle on St Leonards seafront has died in hospital.

He has been named by police as Ken Cotman, 71, of Harold Road, Hastings.

Mr Cotman was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton on Sunday (October 2) after falling from his bike on the A259 in Eversfield Place.

He sadly died in hospital on Thursday (October 6).

Police say his death resulted from natural causes and there is no further police investigation or coroner’s enquiry.
