Deer joins morning commuter traffic in Horsham’s Bishopric

The County Times Head of Digital Steve Payne was one of the people who spotted it.

He said: “It was quite a shock. I was walking to the County Times’ office and suddenly there was this sound of hooves and a small, or possibly just young, deer came running down the pavement.

“It saw me then darted into the road. Luckily, drivers had also spotted it and everyone stopped as the deer ran into Bishopric Court and out of sight.

“Hopefully, it finds its way back home without any injury.”
