The dog was found a short while later, safely tied to a tree in nearby West Park, and was returned to her owner.

A man who was seen nearby running alongside the dog is described as about 5’9”, of stocky build, with short dark hair and wearing a blue jacket with blue or black sleeves and possibly a black hoody as well.

Witnesses are unable to say exactly what time the dog and the man were seen.
