Dog walker’s teeth knocked out in violent attack

The 62-year-old victim had been walking his dogs when he passed a building site that backs onto Goodhew Close in the village, where he noticed a group of men acting suspiciously on the site.

He shouted to the group of men but then continued to walk home.

A man then ran towards the victim and punched him in the face.

He fell to the ground and saw three men running off.

The victim suffered a cut to his head and a black eye and had two teeth knocked out.

Sussex Police said the attacker was around 5ft 10in, possibly of mixed race, and was in his late 20s.

He had short black hair.

The second man is described as white, bald, about 30, and of large build.

The third man was younger than the other two and may have been wearing a blue coat at the time of the attack.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “This was an unprovoked attack that has left the victim with very nasty injuries.

“We would like to speak to anyone that recognises the description of the men or who may have seen seen either the attack or the men running away afterwards.”
