Drugs crackdown in Bognor Regis

Three search warrants were executed at addresses in Bognor Regis today (October 4) in a bid to crack down on drug offences in the town.

The operation was led by Arun district police and the addresses in central Bognor were targeted following information received about illegal activity.

Inspector Nick Bowman, from Arun’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We responded swiftly to information we received about criminal activity in our area by people who we believe are bringing their business of dealing illegal drugs to this district.

“Our message is clear if you deal drugs in this area we will catch up with you, we will stop you and we will bring you to justice.

“We obviously need the full support of local residents to help us combat this criminality and we are very grateful to the community for their patience and understanding whilst officers completed their tasks today.

“Although no arrests have been made at this stage, police activity will continue and we’re confident that this will have sent out a clear message and disrupted any potential crime.”

Anyone with information about drugs offences in the area should call Sussex Police on 101, or contact the Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
