Dyamond Dance triumph

From age 4 to 40, the students of Dyamond Dance showed off a wide variety of talent at their annual show at the Phoenix Art Centre.

Chloella Gunn, who runs the Dyamond Dance group due to open new premises in Wickham Avenue, described this as their best show ever.

"It was absolutely fantastic. I could not have wished for a better performance from either the children or the adults, and the audience reaction was amazing - at the finale we had people dancing, cheering, the show went down so well. It is the best show we have done and the best response we have had. We had 130 performers altogether, it was a big production, and we had a mixture of singing, street dance, tap dance...a real variety show. It is something we have never done before and it went very well. I am so proud of everybody who took part."

The Dyamond Dance studio will open officially on Saturday April 25 at 2pm and there will be another student display as part of the celebration.
