East Hoathly

PRESERVING THE MEMORIES: East Hoathly church will be having a weekend of worship on September 24 and 25. This is part of the National Prayer weekend happening across the country. Our theme this year is Preserving the Memories featuring and gathering people recollections of events that have happened in our church from wedding to barn dances and a bit of history with a Lunsford/ Pelham shooting incident. Tomorrow, Saturday, evening we are very fortunate to have some members of the Heathfield Choral Society who will be singing extracts from works such as Karl Jenkins, Armed Man. Howard Goodall, Every purpose under the Heaven. 7.30pm for 8pm start at the church. Tickets are available in advance by contacting Elly on 01825 763831 or on the door for a donation of £5 which will include a glass of wine and some nibbles. This informal evening is an opportunity for you to hear not only some remarkable singing but a chance for us to reflect on the many talent people we have in both villages and surrounding area. We are grateful to Heathfield Choral Society for agreeing to be part of our celebration weekend.
