Ryan Bodle, 32, from Rye Street, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty at Hove Crown Court to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis after police found a text message from him offering the substances on another drugs dealer’s phone.

This was as a result of a separate investigation into another drugs supply case in Eastbourne. Bodle also faced charges of aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop for police and two counts of possessing cannabis.

PC Dan Cloake, operations co-ordinator for Eastbourne District Neighbourhood Policing Team, said, “Bodle was sending text messages offering drugs and it was clear that he was supplying them to others.

“After looking at the information on his phone, it was clear that he was running a one-stop drug shop to the local community.

“Although no significant amount of drugs was ever recovered in this case, this should send out a stark warning that whether or not we find your drugs, we will secure a lengthy sentence. The evidence on Bodle’s phone was overwhelming.”

If you have any information about the supply of illegal of drugs you can contact police by emailing [email protected] or phoning 101.
