Eastbourne library on the lookout for new librarians

Langney Community Library is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to become librarians and helpers.

There will be two sessions at St Barnabas Church in Kingfisher Drive on Tuesday, September 25 at 6pm and Thursday, October 4 at 3pm.

Chair of the Langney Community Library group, Alan Shuttleworth, said, “We are really pleased with progress and we would like to thank all those who have been helping with the project.

“This is an opportunity for all our volunteers and potential volunteers to come along to hear about our plans and sign up for training.”

Langney library to reopen as community-run facility

The Langney Community Library has recently been awarded charity status by the Charity Commission.

The Trustees are planning to open the library in its new home in Langney Shopping Centre in October.
