Eastbourne reporter visits home after dog photo outrage

The photo appeared to show a dog surrounded by its own excrement at an Eastbourne address, which has led to hundreds of people expressing concern for its welfare on social media.
The RSPCA responded to calls and yesterday (Tuesday) visited the house, stating they found three dogs there ‘in good body condition and health, with access to food, water and shelter’.

A Herald reporter visited that day and found the majority of the mess had been cleared up.
The dog in the photo, called Biscuit, is a 12-year-old female cross that the owners have had since she was a puppy, and all three dogs at the property had access to food and water and could go inside the house through a dog flap.
The owner said, “The RSPCA have been around and said everything is fine.

“She just happened to be there when the photo was taken.”
