Election candidate is bitten by a dog

A county council election hopeful was bitten by a dog in Yapton.

Stan Nattrass, the Labour candidate for the Middleton division, was campaigning in the village on Tuesday (June 2)when he came across the unfriendly canine.

Mr Nattrass received treatment in Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital and a tetanus Injection. A few hours rest at home followed and he was back out on the election trail in the afternoon.

He was full of praise for the doctor, nurses and staff who treated him.

"They were wonderful," he said.
