“We were called at 6.57am this morning to a large vehicle fire on the A24 southbound between Broadbridge Heath and Hop Oast,” a fire service spokesperson said.
“Upon arrival crews found a lorry with overheated brakes. Firefighters used a high pressure hose reel to cool the brakes.”

Fire crews left the scene just after 8.30am.
Elsewhere, a number of roads are still closed due to recent flooding, whilst there have been reports of further emergency incidents in the county.
