The picture was submitted at about 5.30pm on Thursday, October 15.
It shows police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
An HM Coastguard spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard was alerted to an incident at Saltdean at around 15:55 this afternoon (15 October).
“Coastguard Rescue Teams from Newhaven, Birling Gap and Shoreham, an HM Coastguard helicopter and Brighton RNLI lifeboat were sent. South East Coast Ambulance Service and Sussex Police also attended.”
The police and SECAmb have been approached for more information.
