An arrest has been made and Sussex Police has issued an appeal – for witnesses and information – after the fatal incident. It happened around midday, on Saturday (May 23).
"The collision, involving a car and two motorcycles, occurred in Ford Road – adjacent to Nelson Row,” a police statement, on Sunday, read.
“Sadly, the rider of one of the motorcycles, a 55-year-old woman from Bognor Regis, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.”
Police confirmed that the rider of a second motorcycle, a 57-year-old man from Bognor, ‘also sustained injuries’.
They added: “The driver of a white Mini, a 60-year-old man from Angmering, was not injured.
“Officers are investigating the circumstances of the collision, and have now subsequently identified and located a white VolksWagen Polo which is believed to have been involved in the events leading to the collision.
“A 70-year-old man from Yapton has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and is currently in custody.”
The police would now like to hear from any witnesses, or anyone with useful information. They are asked to report it online, or by emailing [email protected], quoting Operation Indie.
