Emergency services deal with incident at Eastbourne Railway Station
Reports of a vulnerable person on the railway in Eastbourne sparked an emergency response this afternoon (Thursday, February 18).

The incident was first reported shortly after 3pm and trains were unable to move in the area whilst emergency services were at the scene.
The person was confirmed as safe and away from the railway by 4pm but services did not return to normal for another two hours.
There were delays, alterations and cancellations across the east coastway routes, inclduing services between, Brighton, Lewes, Eastbourne, Hastings and Ashford International.
