Emergency services at serious accident near Horam

A man has been flown to hospital by air ambulance after a serious accident just north of Horam this afternoon (Wednesday).

The two-vehicle collision was reported at 2.31pm on the B2203 road between Maynards Green and Horam.

SECAmb said one patient, a male, was air lifted to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with potentially serious injuries.

Another patient, also a male, was taken to Conquest in Hastings with less serious injuries.

The road was closed in both directions between Sicklehatch Lane, Tubwell Lane and Vines Cross Road.

Police have said it is likely to be closed until 8pm.

Traffic reports said a van and truck were involved in the crash.

Sussex Incidents tweeted at 6.25pm: “Long delays on #A267 Little London Road Southbound at B2203. Congestion to Little London. This is not helped by the road closure of the B2203,

“Affecting trafffic travelling towards Eastbourne. Travel time is 50 minutes.”
