Environment bodyholds its most vitalAGM next week

The meeting will see the group deciding to become a charity.

It will also see results announced as to which environmental projects will benefit from the £4,000 donation made by the Monuments Men film company.

Group secretary Sandy Roger said: “This is a very important meeting and it would be great to have a big turnout for our final event of 2013.

The meeting takes place at 7.15pm in the ballroom and refreshments will be provided.

Rother Environment Group recently co-hosted an Energy Day event at Rye’s Tilling Green Community Centre which outlined how people can reduce their winter fuel bills.

The Environment Group is currently involved in a number of projects including carrying out a Rother-wide study into cycle routes with a view to influencing East Sussex County Council’s investment programme for the future.
