Ewhurst Parish Allotments Association have informed us that they have a couple of vacant plots available for rent if anyone in the village is interested. The plots are located at Knowle Corner, Lorndine Lane, Ewhurst. The manageable plots measure approx. 42 feet by 22 feet, each has a shed and water harvesting equipment. If you are interested in possibly renting one of the plots contact Jacqui Hyett 01580 830576 [email protected] .

It has now come to my notice that there are two vacant allotment plots in Hurst Green, if interested contact Maureen Harniman on 01580 860251

VILLAGE WEBSITE: The village website has been running for a few years now, it was primarily provided by the Parish Council as a means of making council information available to village residents, but has always contained as much information as possible about the village and organisations. We want to gather your views on the site through a short survey, which only takes a couple of minutes to complete, on the website. Please take a minute or two to fill in the survey at www.etchinghamvillage.co.uk/survey

LENT LUNCHES: The Church is hosting three Lent Lunches this year, the Lent Lunches will be a simple meal of soup and bread. Last year the lunches were held on people’s homes, this year they are in the Parker Hall, Parsonage Croft the first two have already taken place the last one will be on Tuesday March 22, starting at 12.30pm.

There is no charge for the lunch, but there will be donations to two chosen charities, Christian Aid and the International Nepal Fellowship. The situation in Nepal is dire, the Church would be happy to receive donations of woolly hats, scarves, blankets and warm clothes to pass on to them.
