PHONE NUMBER: I have needed to change my mobile phone provider, this has resulted in a new number, so if you have tried to contact me on the old mobile number and not had a response, that is the reason. The new number is 07484 635014, during the change over I lost some of the numbers I had stored, if you know I had your number on my phone can you please text or email me your number so that I can make sure I have it in the phone.

FLOOD ALERTS: I am registered, on behalf of the Parish Council, with the Environment Agency to receive alerts and warnings when there is any flood risk to the village. I put the details on to the village website on this page www.etchinghamvillage.co.uk/flood-warnings and as updates are received I post them on the page, updates are also posted on the Parish Council Facebook and Twitter pages as they are received. When the first alert or warning is received I get the details sent out on the village e-bulletin, residents with concerns can then check the website for the updated situation until the alert is lifted, I will then get a message out on the bulletin to inform everyone that the alert/warning has ended. Alerts can come in at any time of the day or night and there can often be a considerable time delay getting the information on to the bulletin, so if you are concerned that flooding might occur you should check the website, Facebook or Twitter pages to check. You can also go straight to the Environment Agency Flood website www.environment-agency.gov.uk and follow the links to the Etchingham info. you might also be interested in the web page that shows the continually updated readings from the river level guage in the village www.gaugemap.co.uk/#!Detail/10917/6293

SPEEDWATCH SURVEY: The Speedwatch Online Survey closed for responses on Sunday January 10, I am now working through collating the results, this might take a couple of weeks. When completed I will publish the results on the village website in a downloadable for anyone to access as they wish, and I will create a report for the February Parish Council meeting.

PARISH COUNCIL: The January Parish Council meeting will take place in the Parker Hall on Thursday January 21, 7.30pm. All residents are entitled to attend all Parish Council meetings, but are not permitted to speak at the meeting apart from during the allotted “Public Time”.
