Fairlight meeting to discuss new housing quota
THE Government’s increased housing quota for the South East will be on the agenda when Fairlight holds its Parish Assembly at the village hall tonight (Friday).
Keith Jellicoe, from the East Field Fairlight Action Group, said: “The Government has announced that The South East Plan has been thrown out and that consequently the House building numbers in Rother and Hastings are to be hugely increased.
“The housing quota will be double and overwhelm the current plans that have just had their targets set by a Government Inspector.
“This huge change in direction by the Government will be raised with Amber Rudd our MP and Rother councillors who are attending.
