Fairy tales performed in '˜magical' Tilgate Park

In a first for Tilgate Park, Pitchy Breath Theatre Group, took their production of The Hare and the Tortoise; Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Rumpelstiltskin to the ‘magical’ walled garden on Saturday and Sunday (July 11 and 12).
Jo Joseph, art development officer at Crawley Borough Council, who works with Pitchy Breath at the Hawth Theatre, said: “The weather on Saturday was wonderful and sunny, but on Sunday it was a little bit drizzly and windy. People had their umbrellas up.

She added: “We were obviously doing our rehearsals there in the evenings. It was almost magical.”
Building on the success of the group’s events in the park and previously at the Hawth Ampitheatre, she hopes the group will be able to hold more in Tilgate Park.
