Falmer

LADIES GROUP: Falmer Ladies' Group were extremely lucky last week for their walk, the rain had stopped and there was even some sight of the sun. Although windy, members met at the Parish Hall and by sharing transport drove to Seaford Martello tower. The tide was in and it was even windier by the sea, but a brisk walk along the prom towards the buckle and back and then to the bottom of Seaford Head, kept everyone bright and happy. It was decided to return to Falmer to share the picnics in the Parish Hall and everyone agreed what a pleasant evening they had all had.

If you stay for a picnic by the pond you are sure to spot the goslings. Do buy some grains to feed them at the Park Farm Shop, the kindergarten children love it when we feed them.

FOOTBRIDGE UPDATE: It is still not completed. This is what it was like before we had a footbridge, to get to the other side of the village, you think twice before undertaking the roundabout route. We have been promised that it will be reopened at the end of this week, we hope so, it will be disastrous for the village if it is delayed another week, why? Because of the Flower Festival of course.
