Falmer

SUNDAY TEAS: Falmer Sunday Afternoon Teas have commenced from 2.30pm to 5pm serving cakes made by people in the village and those from outside the village who volunteer to serve. This is an annual occurrence and we love to see our regular customers returning every year. The teas are served in the Parish Hall and we do not mind if people wish to take a tray to sit by the edge of the pond. On a fine sunny Sunday afternoon, you could not wish for a better setting.

CONCERT: Tomorrow, Saturday, at 5.30 pm the next concert in St Laurence Church is entitled Westron Wynde, music by Holborne, Tye and Johnson with some folk influenced music from Scotland, also a Premier by Robert Carrington. Come and listen to The Pastores Ensemble: on Viols, Mandola, Lute and Guitar. Entrance is free with a tiring collection.

FAREWELL: It was sad to say farewell to John Little whose funeral took place on Monday. John lived in Stanmer, but was very much associated with Falmer. He was a strong supporter of Falmer’s causes for many years. We send our condolences to his family.
