Family tragedy inspires Lyminster veteran's sky dive

VERTIGO will not stop a Lyminster forces veteran from jumping out of a plane in memory of his step-brother, who was the first British soldier to be killed in Afghanistan eight years ago.

Michael Sambrook, 24, who spent more than six years in the Royal Navy, is getting ready to leap 14,000ft with the Red Devils, to raise money for Help For Heroes, a cause he holds close to his heart

Now a carer at Deepdene Court, in St Catherine's Road, Littlehampton, he said that he had wanted to do something for the charity since his step-brother, father-of-one private Darren George, 23, from Essex, was killed while on patrol in Kabul, in 2002.
