Farmer's Market back every week

Bexhill's popular Farmer's Market is set to re-open on Good Friday (March 25) and the good news is that it will back in Devonshire Square on a weekly basis.

Farmer’s market manager Keith Tate said: “The market will now be open every Friday, providing people with exceptional locally produced food and crafts.”

It is open on Good Friday from 8.30am - 2pm and will have an Easter Egg decorating workshop for children and live music from the Moonbeams singing duo.

A delicious Farmer’s Market Food Hamper is up for grabs with a free raffle ticket issued with each purchase.

There is also a new fresh wet fish stall.

On offer at the market will be hot food, cakes, pies, fruit and veg, meats and wild game, cheeses, jams and chutneys, bread, plants, crafts and natural health supplements.

Keith Tate said: “It has actually been open every two weeks through the winter but we will now be re-opening the market to weekly trading putting the market on every Friday and providing more stalls.

“The Farmers Market is a non-profit making venture and looks to provide locally sourced healthy fresh products for the people of Bexhill.

“You can’t beat shopping in a local friendly atmosphere and we hope the farmers market will become a hub of community spirit, quality foods and a warm personal shopping experience.

“At a time when supermarkets are ever expanding the Bexhill Market gives customers a chance to chit chat, browse, find a treat and at various times even enjoy the wonderful sound of live music while they shop.”
