Fatal crash on the B2116 near Henfield - police appeal for information

Emergency services were called to the scene, on the B2116 Wheatsheaf Road, at 7.10pm.

Police say the rider, whom they describe as a man in his 50s from Henfield, was declared dead at the scene.

His Suzuki motorbike is believed to be the only vehicle involved - police believe the collision occurred when the rider lost control on a left hand bend.

The collision was reported by a passing motorist some time after it happened, so any witnesses who saw the collision or the bike on the road earlier that evening are asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Easdale.
