Felpham A259 fatal - victim named

The man who died in a horror crash on the A259 has been named by police.

Peter Andrew Iredale, aged 46, of Mayfield Close, Bognor Regis, died following the crash near Flansham Park on February 24 at around 6.20am.

Police have only now revealed his identity.

The road was closed for approximately ten hours while emergency services attended the scene.

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop following a collision.

Tributes:

Hello, I just wanted to pay my respects to Pete. I worked with him for four years at the COSI factory in Littlehampton.

He was a genuinely good man, very witty, and was a brilliant engineer. My boyfriend worked with him for many more years than I did and he will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with his girlfriend Marta during this terrible time. Such a tragic incident.
