Film dummy lost from Bognor Pier

A PROP dummy from a film set was last seen floated towards Pagham after falling from Bognor Pier.

The dummy, nicknamed John, was lost on Sunday, February 6, from the set of a rockumentary titled Punk Strut, being filmed on Bognor Pier.

Actor Richard Gibson, known for his role as Herr Flick in 'Allo 'Allo who stars in the field explained: "We'd had the dummy on a piece of string but it broke and he just floated away.

"A lot of people have apparently been ringing the coastguard thinking they've seen someone in the sea, but it's just our prop from the set."

Lynda Shaw, a taxi firm employee from Littlehampton who made "John" the dummy said: "I am actually in mourning for the loss of the dummy having spent time making him.

"He was washed away towards Pagham so he could be anywhere, but I do hope we get him back."

Anyone with any information about "John" should contact Lynda at Apollo taxis on 01903 723030.

Punk Strut is semi-autobiographical in being about a punk band I was asked to be in - the main character Kevin Short who lives in the Bognor area formed his group, Kevin Short and his Privates back in the 70s.

Anyone who finds "John" will receive tickets to the film premiere.
