Fire breaks out in Portslade house

Firefighters from Preston Circus, Hove, and Roedean rushed to the blaze in Warrior Close at about 7.20pm.

Upon arrival, the fire service said crews tackled a fire in the roof space of the property.

They used breathing apparatus, one main jet and one high pressured hose reel to fight the flames.

There were no reports of injuries, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said.

A re-inspection of the property was due to take place later last night and a fire investigation has been scheduled in for today (August 18).
