Fire cadets needed

YOUNGSTERS have been invited to become fire cadets.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is looking for enthusiastic young people who feel they have got what it takes to become a fire cadet.

A new fire cadet programme begins on November 8 at Bognor Regis Fire Station and applications are being encouraged from youngsters between the ages of 15 and 18.

For the right candidates the course is a unique opportunity to experience life on a fire station, learn fire service drills, life-saving skills and much more.

There will also be the chance to complete the ASDAN fire and rescue short course as well as represent West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service at public events across the county.
