East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed crews were called to the fire in a garage at a house in Highview Lane at 1.30pm.
A spokesman added: “Firefighters from Heathfield, Crowborough, Uckfield, Lewes and Brighton are currently in attendance.
“Firefighters are using eight breathing apparatus, two jets, two hose reel jets and one in seven foam to extinguish the fire.
The spokesman confirmed all persons have been accounted for.
