Firefighters called to deal with Littlehampton flooding
FIREFIGHTERS spent more than two hours pumping out flood water which had affected a number of industrial units in Littlehampton yesterday (Tuesday, August 26).
A crew from the town’s fire station, in Maltravers Road, were called to the Riverside Industrial Estate, in Bridge Road, after reports of heavy rain causing flooding to three commercial properties.
The officers arrived shortly before 4pm and used a light, portable pump to remove the water from the affected units.
Firefighters eventually left the industrial estate at 6.07pm.
