Firefighters put out flames on ground floor of Cocking home

Firefighters were called to put out a fire at a domestic property in Cocking this afternoon (Thursday, February 10).

Midhurst Fire Station said via its Twitter page that both W43P1 and Chichester Fire Station responded.

“On arrival smoke was issuing from the building and an additional appliance from @HaslemereFire (Haslemere Fire Station) was ordered,” said a spokesperson.

They said crews using four breathing apparatus and two hose reels extinguished a fire on the ground floor.

“The fire is now out and crews are damping down and assisting with investigating the cause of the fire,” they added.
